The Quassus is one of a select few Warfans inWarframe, a melee class that uses weaponized fans to carve through enemies. The Quassus is an infested Warfan that fires a barrage of daggers with each heavy attack, inflicting guaranteed Slash procs with each projectile.
A good build for the Quassus can obliterate some of Warframe’s toughest enemies with little issue, provided they aren’t immune to Slash procs. This guide will cover everything you need to know about the Quassus, ranging from crafting requirements to endgame builds you’re able to use to make this Warfan one of your strongest melee weapons.
How To Craft The Quassus
The Quassus is a melee weapon you can acquire fromCambion Drift bountieson Demios. Harder bounties are more likely to drop the blueprint in Rotation C, the last reward pool. You only need to farm for the main blueprint to craft this weapon; there aren’t any Quassus-specific components.
In addition to getting the blueprint, you’ll also needa Seriglass Shardto craft this weapon. You’ll need a whopping 20 Grandmother Tokens to purchase this item, making it one of the most expensive crafting materials in the game. Stockpile as many tokens as possible to convert them into Grandmother Tokens when her shop refreshes.

How To Craft The Quassus Prime
As with most Prime equipment, the Quassus Prime is obtained fromcracked Void Relics.Most activities in Warframe can award Void Relics when completed. If you take these relics into a Fissure mission on the Star Chart, you’re able to crack open the relic with reactant that drops from slain Corrupted foes. Crack open relics that contain the Quassus Prime’s parts for a chance of earning a Quassus Prime component.

The Quassus is aWarfan that fires a fan of daggers when you perform a heavy attack.Each dagger hasguaranteed Slash statuswith high critical chance, making these weapons ideal for melting high-value targets like Demolysts and Acolytes. The first heavy attack you perform will unleash 12 daggers (18 if you’re using the Prime variant), which are halved if you continue to chain heavy attacks.
Subsequent heavy attacks deal the same amount of initial damage, although the lower dagger count reduces how many Slash procs you’ll inflict per attack.
Such a strong heavy attack encourages the use ofheavy attack builds.Building this weapon around light attacks is ill-advised due to the weapon’s lackluster range and cumbersome stance combos. As a heavy attack weapon, the Quassas can melt some of Warframe’s toughest enemies in a matter of seconds, dealing millions of damage when built for critical damage, heavy attack damage, and status damage.
Quassus Builds
We’ll be looking at two builds for the Quassus today, one for the standard version and another min-maxed configuration for the Prime version.Both builds focus on heavy attacks—light attack builds aren’t ideal for this weapon.
If you’re looking to push this weapon even further than we showcase, we highly recommend you throwKullervo’s Wrathful Advanceability onto your favorite Warframe. This subsume makes the Quassus always red crit, dealing millions of damageper dagger. It’s hands-down the best way to scale this weapon if you want to push the level cap.

Variant
Quassus
To make a good heavy attack build, you need to focus heavily onheavy attack damage, initial combo, and status damage.We start withKilling Blowto increase our heavy attack base damage and charge time. This stacks additively withPressure Pointto make our heavy attacks hit fairly hard on their own. We can then multiply this damage withCorrupt Chargeby forcing our base combo count to x2.
Since the Quassus has great critical stats, let’s build into that withTrue SteelandOrgan Shatter, both of which greatly buff our critical chance and critical damage, respectively. We then useBerserker’s Furyto greatly speed up the recovery animation of each heavy attack. Buff your slash damage withMelee Elementalist, and you will have a solid all-rounder. The final slot can be anything you please; we threw on an elemental mod for some extra damage.
Quassus Prime
This is more or less the same build as before with significantly stronger mods. The first major change is we replace True Steel withGalvanized Steelto give this weapon a substantial boost to its critical damage after you land a few kills. A 110% critical chance buff might not seem like much, but keep in mind thatthe critical bonus isdoubledfor heavy attacks—you’re always landing critical hits.
Pressure Point has also been replaced with its Primed variant for a noticeable base damage increase. For combo stats, we drop Corrupt Charge and useGalvanized Reflexinstead. Four kills will set your base combo to 80, drastically increasing your heavy attack damage. Organ Shatter is now using its Amalgam variant for more attack speed, and we replace our elemental mod withany smite mod that counters the faction you’re fighting.Bane mods double-dip with status builds like this, so they’re giving yousignificantlymore damage than listed.
Finally, we throw onDreamer’s Wrathin our Exilus slot to gain an occasional Tennokai buff, allowing you to perform a heavy attack for free. Doing so will buff your attack’s critical damage. You don’t need any specific Arcanes for this build to work, but we recommendMelee Exposureif you own it. We don’t use anyelemental modson this build, so Melee Exposure serves as an excellent substitute if you need to quickly chop down some enemies with your light attack.
