Summary
Every newFortniteChapter refreshes the whole island, introducesnew game mechanics, addsnew NPCs, and gives you the chance to eliminate enemies with brand-new weapons. After a couple of Chapters with Projectile weapons, the popular battle royale brought Hitscan weapons back, radically changing its gameplay.
While some classic weapons, like the Suppressed Pistol, were unvaulted in Chapter 6 Season 1, most of the loot pool is comprised of new weapons and Mythics. That marks a great time for players looking to experience new ways of dealing damage and also levels the player base as everyone is still learning how to use them to the best of their abilities.

The brand-new Fury assault rifle is the most underwhelming weapon in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters. You can find it in all available rarities including Mythic, only obtainable bydefeating the boss Shogun Xwhile he’s roaming the island.
The Fury has a high fire rate and allows you to move faster when aiming down sights. However, that’s where its benefits end. It doesn’t have much damage output and doesn’t have a scope, so you can find better alternatives even in the SMG category.
8Fire Oni Mask
One of the special items introduced in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is the Fire Oni Mask. It has a Mythic variant you can get by defeating a boss, but their stats are pretty much the same except for the amount of ammo.
Just like Shogun X’s fire shots, you’re able to use the Fire Oni Mask to deal 100 damage to enemies you lock onto, which is great for close and mid ranges. However, it takes a while to reload, so keep that in mind.

This relentless shotgun reminds some players of the Frenzy Auto Shotgun from Chapter 5 Season 1, but it’s way less powerful. Its biggest feature is its huge 14-shell magazine that lets you spam shots without needing to lift the finger from the trigger.
However, the Twinfire Auto Shotgun’s shots are pretty weak, so you’ll need to land many to eliminate opponents in a match. In Zero Build, it can be a great asset, but in battle royale, with little structure damage, it’s not that great.

Another unique shotgun in Chapter 6 Season 1 is the Oni Shotgun, with only two shells available before having to reload. It’s a great weapon for close and medium ranges and it fires 11 pellets that can deal massive damage.
However, it’s not easy to master, as you might spend more time reloading than actually hitting enemies. If you learn its tricks, you can down an enemy easily before reloading, but more often than not, you’ll be vulnerable to attacks.
5Typhoon Blade
The only melee weapon introduced in Chapter 6 is the Typhoon Blade, obtainable from Stands and Elemental Chests seen in most named locations. It’s a powerful blade that deals a lot of damage at close range and keeps you moving, so your enemies can get a clear shot at you.
you may slam the ground from above or launch a special attack, aside from hitting your enemies upfront. The Typhoon Blade can also enhance your stamina to run faster and get an aerial dash.

After mods were removed in Chapter 6, the Holo Twister Assault Rifle dominates the Assault Weapon category thanks to its unique red dot sight. While it’s not as powerful as the Fury Assault Rifle, it’s a more accurate weapon that can eliminate a couple of opponents before reloading.
you may even get the Mythic version, called Enhanced Holo Twister Assault Rifle, by hacking the train’s chest in Chapter 6 Season 1. It’s a great pick now thathitscan weaponsare back.

SMGs are at the top in Chapter 6 thanks to their power and accessibility. The Surgefire SMG has a unique feature that increases its fire rate if you hold the trigger. Combined with a 40-bullet magazine, it’s a force to be reckoned with.
This SMG also boasts decent structure damage that allows you to press on enemies that are trying to find shelter. So, if you play your cards right, you can decimate opponents easily by moving forward with your trigger constantly pressed.

The most powerful shotgun in Chapter 6 might not feel great at first. Compared to the Oni Shotgun and the Twinfire Auto Shotgun, the Sentinel Pump has the slowest fire rate of them all, which can mark the difference between victory and defeat.
However, it’s also the most powerful, and you can eliminate opponents with a single headshot. In other words, it might take some time to master its timing, but if you do, you’ll be unstoppable in both Battle Royale and Zero Build.

The other new SMG introduced in Chapter 6 has great accuracy and fire rate, making it a powerful option for close-range encounters. However, you may have noticed that it’s the only other weapon equipped with a Red-Eye Sight, aside from the Holo Twister Assault Rifle.
Believe it or not, that makes the Veiled Precision SMG a great weapon for long-range battles as well. While it’s not that powerful from a distance, being a hitscan weapon with high accuracy makes it relentless and your enemies won’t know what hit them.
