With Solas occupied in his own prison, Rook and their team have the entire Lighthouse all for themselves during the events ofDragon Age: The Veilguard.The Lighthouse works as a beautiful hub area where you get to upgrade your gear and talk to your companions - a lot.
In other words, this is basically your home, which means that you should be in charge of how it looks. While most of the decoration available in the game comes from items you can put in your room, there are seven ‘themes’ for the Lighthouse, changing the appearance of its library and outdoor locations. Which one is the coolest, though?
7Original
Solas' Style
The original version of the Lighthouse already looks amazing, so it’s not a bad idea to leave it as it is. It even has the advantage of not having too much going on compared to some of the others, so it’s perfect for those who prefer a clean look.
That said, the others look better. So, as good as it is, it’s still the worst option here. It’ll just be a simple library with no cool-looking statues over the main doorways. It’s the default option, anyway, so it makes sense that it’s not as appealing.
6Antivan
Lots Of Purple
If you want the place to be a bit darker and purple is one of your favorite colors, the Antivan Crows can offer a nice design for your lighthouse. The statues look quite intimidating, involving either hooded figures or winged people, and the overall aesthetic is fantastic.
Compared to other options, this one also feels a bit cleaner, meaning it won’t change the room as much compared to other themes. It’s simple and to the point. Just be careful;one of the game’s big decisionsmay lock the vendor out for you to buy this theme.
5Elven
Solas' Style 2.0
If you want to highlight your pride as an Elf - or if you really love Solas - you can use this Dalish aesthetic for your lighthouse. It comes with even more wolf statues (as if the game didn’t have enough of those) and some statues of Solas himself.
Jokes aside, the statues are a great touch, especially due to their size and gold material. It also comes with some Halla statues for the outdoors, which is very fitting.
4Dwarven
For The Children Of The Stone
The Dwarves also provide a great look for the Lighthouse that blends well due to being mainly stone statues. The library also gets to display a gorgeous blade instead of just a bookshelf, which is a great add-on.
The outdoors also has a few great statues, but these look more like constructs ready to defend the place if necessary rather than just for the looks. Not that they’ll actually do it, but don’t worry; the Lighthouse is a safe place.
3Grey Warden
Good Place For A Joining
Most factions have their own theme, so you’ll likely pick the one that belongsto your faction.That said, most players have chosen the Grey Wardens according to BioWare itself, and luckily for all of us, the Warden Lighthouse rocks.
Griffons everywhere, banners of the order, and warrior statues are some of the things you’ll see here. Most of these are painted in gold, too, giving it a distinct color compared to most of the Lighthouse’s architecture.
2Nevarran
What Happens When Manfred Decorates
Necromancy has never been so cool - and positive - before. The Mourn Watchers show us quite a unique point of view when it comes to death, making the Grand Necropolis a wonderful place to visit. Why not bring some of it with you?
Not only does the theme have amazing-looking statues and skulls everywhere, but the exterior looks just as good, with some of the greatest statues among all the options available. The wolf behind the Caretaker can also be replaced by skeleton statues, making things match.
1Tevinter
No One Does It Like A Shadow Dragon
Let’s get some soldier statues back and add a lot of red. Tevinter returns with a cleaner look while also making significant changes to give this theme a unique look compared to other options here. The red also clashes with the overall blue color of the library.
The exterior area didn’t get the clean memo, though, as it has absurdly tall statues guarding the doors. Still, since the outside doesn’t change as much as the library, the absurdity of their size does make this theme stand out even more compared to similar ones, like the Dwarven and the Grey Warden ones. Nevarran still wins when it comes to outside decoration, while Tevinter wins at indoor decoration.
