Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has added three new weapons with its second season, one of which is a rendition of the prototype TKB-022. Named the Cypher 091, this AR trades raw TTK for best-in-class mobility and exceptional handling that was previously reserved for the GPR 91.

It’s the closest weapon to the TAR-21 in Black Ops 6, and it performs just as well as you’d expect. This weapon has exceptional recoil control, great mobility stats, and features competitive handling. Today, we’ll be looking at some of the best builds you’re able to use on the Cypher 091, including builds for Multiplayer and Zombies.

How To Unlock The Cypher 091

The Cypher 091 can be unlocked through theSeason 2 Battle Pass. All players can unlock this weapon by completing the eighth page of the Battle Pass reward track, which will require at least 41 Battle Pass Tokens. Blackcell owners can unlock this page immediately or claim the Cypher Blackcell skin on Page 11 to gain access to this weapon sooner.

Armory Unlock

Once Season 2 ends, the Cypher 091 will be added to the Armory Unlock system. Tag the weapon as your current Armory objective to unlock it.

Pros And Cons

The Cypher 091 has more in common with SMGs than ARs, featuring excellent mobility and handling stats for its archetype. We lean into the weapon’s strengths by equipping aQuickdraw Gripto drastically reduce ADS time and aRanger Foregripto buff our sprint speed. This makes the weapon roughly as mobile as an SMG.

Accuracy isn’t a large problem on the Cypher, but you’re able to equipRecoil Springsto make this weapon highly accurate out to 50 meters. Since we don’t need a Compensator, we can use aSuppressorto hide all gunshot pings on the minimap. Your fifth attachment is mostly down to preference. We recommend eitherExtended Magsfor less frequent reloads or anInfiltrator Stockto strafe faster in combat.

Loadout Recommendations

Since the Cypher has such great handling stats, it’s a perfect pairing with theEnforcer specialty, granting you a burst of movement speed and HP regeneration after each kill. We trigger this set bonus withDexterityfor less weapon motion,Assassinfor free score, andDouble TimeorSlipstreamto buff our mobility. Since the gun is suppressed, take Perk Greed andGhostto always stay off enemy radar.

This is a standard Zombies build for an assault rifle. We runRapid Fireinstead of Recoil Springs to help bump the Cypher’s slow RPM at the cost of accuracy. We can mitigate this with aVertical Grip, greatly reducing the weapon’s horizontal recoil. You might also want to equipany red dot opticfor easier target acquisition.

Every other attachment is fairly standard.Extended Mags IIis practically needed for higher rounds, and aSuppressorhelps with spawning Salvage in earlier rounds. AQuickdraw Gripis necessary for fast ADS times, and theLong Barrelis useful for killing Zombies from a distance. We wrap up the build with theInfiltrator Stockfor fast ADS strafe speeds. Pair this with Stamin-Up’s Stalker augment.
