Building various theme parks inPlanet Coaster 2will give you plenty of experience to tackle more complicated challenges down the road. From revitalizing a poor investment that drains the bank to curating the perfect collection of rides to thrill your guests, the possibilities are endless.
With the Summit Awesome scenario, you’re tasked with building a functioning theme park between two mountain peaks. It takes patience and careful planning, but with a bit of help, you can get it done. Here’s everything you need to know to build the park on your dreams in the clouds, connected by a monorail.
Bronze Objectives
When you arrive at the summit, there’s a theme park waiting for you. Already, there’s a coaster in place and the beginning of a monorail, but your efforts are better focused elsewhere. To start, you’ll want toget four flat rides upand running.
Remember that variety is key, so haveseveral different flat rideswith different intensities will cater to all of your guests.
Once each of the rides is up, powered, and open, your next objective is to create a coaster. However, unlike other objectives, you’ll need to ensure there’sat least one drop from 45 metersup.
When doing so, make sure toslowly bring the coaster down to comply with G-force limitsor guests won’t ride your coaster!
Once the coaster is built, ensure to have a power distributor nearby to power it. Test the ride and open it to earn your bronze badge!
Silver Objectives
With your park off to a good start, it’s time to build even more rides. Your next objective is tobuild two new flat ridesin addition to the ones you built previously, for a total of six flat rides.
Place them wherever you’d like, then open up the attractions for your guests. Be sure to add more power as needed to support your rides!
Next, your goal is tobuild a new coaster. The track must beat least 600 meterslong. If you’re not sure how long the coaster is, keep adding track pieces to it.Use the special track piecesto get extra length and thrill in your coaster.
you may purchase a premade coaster and edit it, if you’d like!
The last objective for the silver badge is tocomplete the monorail. This means building a trackacross the chasmbetween mountain peaks, thenplacing another station on the other sideso guests can freely move between both sides of the park.
Once the track is complete, you canopen the monorail and allow park visitors to crossover the mountain pass. You’ll earn your silver badge and be well on your way to a perfect park!
Gold Objectives
With your park one step closer to completion, it’s time to build even more rides! Now that the other mountain peak is accessible, place three new flat ridesover there to draw the crowd away from the first peak. This will helpdistribute traffic and usher guests throughout the park.
The rides can be duplicates here, as they’re spaced far enough away from the first peak.
You can even set up another park entrance here if you’d like!
After building the flat rides, you’lldesign two coasters. They have the following requirements, however, to ensure that your guests are experiencing something new:
You canbuild these coasters from scratchor you canpurchase existing modelsto fill your parks.Minder is an excellent choicefor the excitement rating, whileTwin Loops is a great coasterto include for the inversions requirement.
Opening these coasters will earn you the gold badge for the Summit Awesome scenario!
Platinum Objectives
Your last set of objectives will have you put your coaster skills to the test. The newest coaster you’ll make must have an excitement rating of six or more, which makes it more complicated and thrilling. If the rating is too high, guests won’t want to ride it.
A great coaster to model yours after is Soarer, which meets the objective requirement.
If you have the funds, you canpurchase the coasterto save you some time.
After the new coaster is complete and open, it’s time tofocus on what your guests want. Specifically, your goal is toget 4,500 peoplein the park and haveat least 80 percent in a good mood.
To get new guests in the park, you canyou’re lacking. These take time and money, but it’s a surefire way to increase the number of guests in your park.
To raise guest happiness, you’ll want tocheck in on their thoughts. Is there enough food for them in the park? Are the paths clean? Are there enough rides for them to enjoy? All of these come together to create the atmosphere of your park.
When your park is filled with happy guests, you’llearn the platinum badgefor the scenario. Congratulations on doing what seemed impossible at first, and good luck with your future coasters!
