Rumors Begin To Surface On Infinity Ward’s Next Call Of Duty Game
This latestround of rumorscomes from prominent Call of Duty leaker,TheGhostOfHope.
Hope suggests that Infinity Ward’s next title is set for release in 2026 and will bring back the incredibly divisive wall running/thrust jumping to the series. They also report that Omnimovement will likely be a mainstay in futureCall of Dutygames, given its success in Black Ops 6.
Infinity Ward will be utilizing Omnimovement and Wall Running.
Finally, Hope says that Infinity Ward will be “remastering a majority of Modern Warfare 3 (2011) maps” for the new game, an interesting choice, given they weren’t the most well-received maps at the time.
Should this be true, the 2026 version of Call of Duty will be Infinity Ward’s first sinceModern Warfare 2in 2022. It will be the third game in franchise history to feature wall running, with 2016’sInfinite Warfare, which was incidentally also developed by Infinity Ward, andBlack Ops 3, which introduced the mechanic.
With two years still to go, though, a lot can change, but it certainly seems like it will get the community talking.
